Has anyone had any success with the "free iPod" offers?

If so, what site and what offer did you do? I am looking for an offer that you don%26#039;t have to use a credit card for.

Has anyone had any success with the %26quot;free iPod%26quot; offers?quick loan

Game Informer magazine ran an article a few months ago where an associate did three banner sites: one that offered a free iPod, one that offered a free PSP, and one that offered a free Laptop.

It took him roughly 6 months before receiving all three products, but he did in fact receive them for absolutely free. The problem is you do have to give up personal information in order to sign-up for product services. This does involve giving your credit card number, but this is stored because the services auto-bill after the 30-day mandatory trials are finished. His key was to cancel the services on the 30th day exact, so as to prevent being charged.

This was repeated three separate times for each item over the course of the following four months. Again, his words were you had to absolutely make sure you were on top of everything and that included checking credit card statements to make sure no funny business was being done.

After months of playing their games and taking part in the required three trials for each item, and their hesitation when realizing he followed all the rules fair and square, he received all three free of charge. Never heard from them again, but said the final month saw more solicitation than anything.

So yes, some of these offers do actually work. But the time, patience, requirements, and information needed to take care of these is not even remotely worth it. With a credit card, you could charge the iPod and have it paid off well within 6 months vs. jumping through hoops for a potentially fatal disaster.

In other words, don%26#039;t bother.

no they are all scams|||It is a spam scam. Don%26#039;t try it.|||Heck no, there no site thats going to give you anything for free, except maby air, and im still waitng for them to charge us for that|||go buy one cheapo|||i have and it worked for me. It was about 2 years ago though...|||just a bunch of scams!|||do it dude!|||Usually I ignore those offers, they%26#039;re mostly advertisements that give you a lot of junk e-mail and make you accept other offers in order to receive it...|||well i won a ferrari in the mail bout a year ago........i just have 2 by a time share to claim it..............i won an ipod 2! i just have to change my long distance provider..............crazy aint it?|||they arent really free you have to sign up for a bunch of junk mail. then give them your house and all your info. then some guys come to your house in the night. and kill you.

no they dont actually give you anything. i wasnt talking about killing you personally. just thats what i think they do with the info.|||My friend, my friend. As they say, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably isn%26#039;t.

For a %26quot;free iPod%26quot;, you would have to commit to purchasing items off their website, for things that you may not necessarily care about. If you don%26#039;t...you%26#039;re paying for that iPod one way or another.

Caveat emptor...|||DO NOT DO THIS!!! They are free, but you go through hundreds and hundreds of ads to decline or accept. It is NOT easy. Just go buy one. You%26#039;re much safer with that bet.|||scams
