I just receive the letter from them, with an offer $10 000 00. It sounds good. But it is not Visa or Master card. What do you think, does anybody has a credit card with them??????

Consumer Alert!

AFGE has received several complaints and inquiries from members about a 鈥榗redit card鈥?offer from Union Workers Credit Services. Their web site implies that they are associated with AFGE and other unions. They are not. AFGE鈥檚 General Counsel has written to this company and demanded they remove our name from their web site.

Beware of any credit card offer that requires you to pay a fee before you can learn the details of the offer. And be sure that the credit card solicitation is from a bank that actually issues regular credit cards and is not a company, such as Union Workers Credit Services, that provides you with a card that can be used only to order merchandise from a catalog.

Please spread the word so your co-workers are protected from this misrepresentation of an AFGE benefit program.
