My Credit is very screwed up.. How can I begin to fix it?

When I turned 18 I received a visa credit card... being young and dumb, I didn%26#039;t pay the bills. Eventually I had collection people calling me and offering to take a certain amount to settle the charges. I didn%26#039;t have a job, so it was difficult to continue with the payments, but I did make 1 payment of like 200 dollars... Of course 1 payment wasn%26#039;t going to cover the 800 something that was left to pay, but I no longer received any calls and I thought they forgot... (young and dumb). I did however, receive a letter saying it was a %26quot;charge off%26quot; but I don%26#039;t know how to go about paying everything off now that I have the money. Can someone help?

Pull a copy of your credit report (https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i... You will be able to see what needs to be paid, they usually have the contact information you need to contact and make arrangments with your creditors.

Check out previous answers, it%26#039;s all there in detail.|||It may not be too late to pay off the outstanding debt. Check your credit report, see what debts are showing up on it.

Perhaps have a talk with your bank to see how you can get it paid off. $800 isn%26#039;t a lot of money, but I%26#039;m sure you can still pay it back to VISA.
